What You’ll Do:
This is a relationship-first role where you’ll work the local market, grow partnerships, and originate residential mortgage loans while representing a respected credit union brand. You’ll be backed by strong processing support and a robust compensation structure—so you can focus on building trust, closing deals, and becoming the face of the branch’s mortgage business.
- Proactively originate high-quality residential mortgage loans
- Network with local builders, developers, and realtors to drive referrals
- Attend community events, closings, and presentations to build visibility
- Guide members through the loan process, ensuring a great experience
- Maintain a quality pipeline to meet production goals
- Cross-sell other credit union products and services based on member needs
- Stay up to date on credit union policies and secondary market requirements
- Conduct off-site member meetings and home visits as needed
What You Bring to the Table:
- 2–5 years of mortgage origination experience, especially in the local market
- A two-year degree or relevant experience in lieu of formal education
- Knowledge of mortgage lending processes, secondary market guidelines, and loan products
- A network of trusted contacts in real estate, building, or development
- A confident, outgoing, and polished presence—someone who thrives in events and meetings
- Proven member service and cross-selling skills
- Strong communication, follow-up, and relationship-building abilities
- Motivation, diplomacy, and the ability to earn trust both internally and externally
