A leading provider of full systems solutions to the manufacturing industry is seeking a Software Development Manager to lead a team of 10 developers. Recourse Communications has partnered with them to identify an experienced, energetic leader who can translate company priorities into high-quality software outcomes.
Key Responsibilities: This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for managing the entire software development lifecycle—from planning and resource allocation to deployment and quality control.
- Oversee project timelines, scope, and delivery
- Lead, mentor, and train a young, collaborative development team
- Ensure adherence to coding standards and perform regular code reviews
- Provide status updates to the VP of Software Development and the CEO
- Represent the software team in cross-departmental company initiatives
- Participate in technical strategy discussions and technology evaluation
- Bachelor's degree required; Master’s preferred (Computer Science, Information Systems, or related)
- 5+ years of experience developing web applications
- 5+ years managing programming teams in commercial settings
- Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server, networking, and virtual machines
- Bonus experience: Red Hat Linux, Docker, AngularJS or Svelte, DevSecOps, Unit Testing frameworks
