Location: Midwest (On-Site)

Overview

A growing manufacturing organization is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee daily floor operations, ensure production targets are met, and maintain a safe, efficient work environment. This role is responsible for supervising production staff, coordinating workflow, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.


Key Responsibilities
  • Execute production schedules to meet delivery timelines and customer expectations
  • Assign work orders and allocate personnel across production lines or work cells
  • Supervise active jobs and perform quality checks as needed
  • Validate and release work orders daily
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date production documentation
  • Assess labor needs and provide staffing recommendations
  • Support process improvements in collaboration with Quality teams
  • Ensure proper material handling, organization, and cleanliness of work areas
  • Submit requests for labels, materials, and equipment as required
  • Train and onboard production and temporary staff (formal and on-the-job)
  • Operate material handling equipment (pallet jack, hand truck)
  • Enforce safety standards, policies, and procedures at all times


Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required; additional education preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing/production environment
  • 3+ years of supervisory or team leadership experience
  • Lean Six Sigma exposure or hands-on experience preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Forklift certification and pallet jack experience preferred

  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 30 lbs. (more with assistance)
  • Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout a production facility

  • Manufacturing/production floor setting
  • Fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with a strong emphasis on safety and quality
