·        Ensure the safety and security of inmates and staff.

·        $47,721 starting; $49,897 after your first year, plus paid overtime.

What It Takes

·        18 years of age or older

·        High School Diploma or GED

·        U.S. Citizenship (must provide proof)

·        A valid Virginia driver’s license, or if licensed out of state, the ability to obtain a Virginia driver’s license within a reasonable period (typically within two weeks)

·        Proof of a GED or Diploma, etc. Valid driver’s license, social security card or birth certificate or passport.

·        Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and reference checks

·        Ability to pass a physical and psychological test.
