Industrial PLC Programmer

Are you an experienced PLC Programmer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges and seeing your work come to life? We are seeking a skilled Industrial PLC Programmer to design, program, troubleshoot, and support custom industrial control systems.
This is a hands-on opportunity to work with a variety of equipment and technologies while following projects from initial programming through installation, commissioning, and customer training.
What You'll Do
- Create custom PLC ladder logic, HMI screens, and script functions for industrial control systems
- Program and troubleshoot material handling systems, industrial ovens, hydraulic equipment, waste treatment systems, and other custom machinery
- Develop and implement control and monitoring solutions for custom industrial equipment
- Research and evaluate new technologies that can improve system controls and performance
- Follow projects from programming and development through installation and final commissioning
- Assist with wiring and testing of control circuits as needed
- Troubleshoot PLC, networking, hardware, and control system issues
- Write technical manuals and supporting documentation
- Travel to customer sites to install, debug, and commission equipment
- Train customer personnel on system operation and controls
What We're Looking For
- Associate degree in a technical field related to machine control preferred, or equivalent experience
- Strong understanding of PLC programming, industrial controls, computer systems, and industrial networking
- Experience creating custom ladder logic and industrial control applications
- Proficiency in industrial structured text programming
- Working knowledge of relational databases
- Familiarity with digital, analog, and PID controls
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
- Knowledge of industrial wiring, safety, and control standards
- Basic understanding of industrial hardware, database functions, and IT systems
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and manage projects through completion
