Industrial Maintenance Mechanic

Location: Confidential | Full-Time | In-Person

Pay: Competitive – Based on Experience


Position Summary

A well-established, industry-leading manufacturing and distribution organization is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to join our plant operations team. This position is responsible for performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on industrial production and processing equipment to maximize uptime, safety, quality, and productivity.

Minimum Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience as an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic (required)
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting experience
  • Ability to work with computer-based maintenance software
  • Must supply own hand tools appropriate to the equipment and environment
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and repair manuals


Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance inspections, services, and adjustments on plant production assets
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
  • Determine corrective action and required replacement parts
  • Repair and lubricate machines and equipment
  • Assemble and install equipment using hand and power tools
  • Inspect parts for defects such as breakage or excessive wear
  • Diagnose equipment malfunctions using voltmeters and other testing devices
  • Operate repaired equipment to verify adequacy of repairs
  • Reassemble machinery following inspections and repairs
  • Install, repair, and maintain industrial production and processing equipment including:
  • Motors and gearboxes/servo control devices
  • Conveying systems
  • Valves, photo eyes, switches, and level controls
  • Hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Refer to blueprints and manufacturer manuals for proper installation and operation
  • Replace sprockets, pumps, chains, sheaves, belts, cylinders, hoses, and valves with proper alignment
  • Perform basic stick welding and oxygen/acetylene torch cutting
  • Follow all company safety procedures and protocols
