Financial Controller – Manufacturing

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Controller to join our manufacturing team. This role will oversee all plant-level financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and support for operational decision-making. The Financial Controller plays a critical role in driving operational efficiency, cost control, and profitability.
- Prepare timely, accurate, and comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow).
- Conduct detailed variance analysis, highlighting trends and opportunities for cost savings or revenue growth.
- Partner with corporate finance to consolidate plant-level results into company-wide reporting.
- Lead the plant budgeting process in collaboration with department heads.
- Develop and manage financial forecasts aligned with organizational goals.
- Monitor budget performance and implement corrective actions when needed.
- Work with other locations on intercompany demand and pricing as required.
- Analyze production costs (labor, materials, overhead) to identify inefficiencies.
- Manage inventory levels to optimize cost-effectiveness.
- Partner with plant leadership on operational efficiency, capital expenditures, and growth initiatives.
- Support capital budgeting and investment analysis for expansions and equipment upgrades.
- Serve as financial lead on plant initiatives, working with operations, engineering, procurement, and quality teams.
- Participate in operational meetings to align financial and production objectives.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced Excel and experience with ERP/accounting systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.).
- Excellent communication skills; able to present financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Experience in standard costing & variance management .
- Ability to lead or support system/reporting enhancements to streamline operations.
- Integrity, professionalism, and results-driven mindset.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of financial management experience, with at least 2 years in a manufacturing environment.
- Proven background in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
- Solid understanding of GAAP and manufacturing financial reporting requirements.
- Full-time, Monday to Friday with flexibility as needed.
- Hybrid Office-based with regular interaction on the plant floor.
- Occasional travel may be required.
