We’re Recourse Communications, Inc., and we’re partnering with a renowned college in the heart of the Adirondacks to find a driven Director of Major Gifts and Initiatives to play a pivotal role in shaping its future.
What You’ll Do: As Director, you’ll build lasting relationships with key donors, secure transformational gifts, and lead fundraising initiatives that support the college’s programs, centers of excellence, and vibrant campus community. You’ll also manage a targeted donor portfolio, cultivate new philanthropic opportunities, and collaborate with leadership to align fundraising strategies with the college’s mission. You’ll organize events, engage with alumni and community leaders, and represent the institution at high-profile functions—all while enjoying the unparalleled natural beauty of the Adirondack region.
• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
• 3+ years of successful fundraising experience in a non-profit or comparable sales environment
• Strong track record in donor cultivation and relationship management
• Excellent public speaking and presentation skills
• High level of organization, professionalism, and attention to detail
• Ability to manage confidential information with integrity
• Proficiency in project coordination, problem-solving, and multi-tasking
• A collaborative mindset and passion for community engagement
