Role Summary

We are seeking a strategic, commercially driven leader to own and expand international military and defense sales across global markets.

This role is responsible for developing and closing complex, multi-year defense and government opportunities, managing senior-level stakeholder relationships, and driving revenue growth across assigned regions. The position requires deep experience in defense procurement environments, strong commercial acumen, and the ability to navigate highly structured international contracting frameworks.

You will serve as the primary commercial lead for military and defense customers while collaborating closely with engineering, legal, compliance, and regional leadership teams.


Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Sales Execution

  • Identify, develop, and close international military and defense sales opportunities
  • Build and manage a strong pipeline aligned with revenue and order intake targets
  • Lead pursuit strategies for large, complex, multi-year defense programs
  • Develop proposals, pricing strategies, and negotiate contract terms with customers and partners
  • Drive disciplined forecasting and pipeline visibility across assigned regions

Customer & Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain senior-level relationships with:
  • Government and military stakeholders
  • Defense OEMs and aerospace partners
  • Strategic distributors and international agents
  • Serve as the primary commercial interface for assigned defense accounts
  • Influence global sales strategy, product positioning, and market expansion efforts
  • Ensure strong cross-functional alignment with Regional Leaders, Legal, Compliance, and Program teams

Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure full compliance with ITAR, export controls, and applicable government regulations
  • Manage commercial and contractual risk in complex international transactions
  • Maintain high standards of integrity and governance in all customer engagements


What We’re Looking For

  • 8+ years of experience in aerospace, defense, military sales, or related industries
  • Proven success closing complex international, long-cycle commercial deals
  • Strong understanding of defense procurement, contracting, and tendering processes
  • Experience working across global regions (Americas, EMEIA, Asia)
  • Demonstrated ability to manage senior government and military relationships
  • Strong commercial, financial, and strategic selling skills
  • Ability to operate effectively in a matrixed, global organization
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field required
  • MBA or advanced degree preferred


Preferred Experience

  • Aerospace tooling, engine programs, or MRO services exposure
  • Government tendering, offset agreements, or structured defense procurement
  • Experience working with OEMs or defense contractors in global markets
