We're seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our maintenance team. If you have experience diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel-powered equipment, this is an opportunity to put your expertise to work with a company that values safety, quality, and professional growth.
What You'll Do
- Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, and electrical components.
- Perform preventative maintenance and routine inspections on trucks, heavy equipment, trailers, or fleet vehicles.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and identify effective repair solutions.
- Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
- Document inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities.
- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety standards and company procedures.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean work area.
- Collaborate with team members to minimize equipment downtime.
What We're Looking For
- 2 to 7+ years of experience repairing and maintaining diesel engines.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with preventative maintenance programs.
- Knowledge of diesel engine systems, hydraulics, brakes, electrical systems, and drivetrains.
- Ability to read and interpret service manuals and repair documentation.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Dependable work ethic and ability to work independently.
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical school or vocational training in Diesel Technology.
- Experience working on medium-duty or heavy-duty trucks, construction equipment, agricultural equipment, or commercial fleets.
- CDL and/or ASE certifications are a plus but not required.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and more with assistance when needed.
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work in various weather conditions.
- Ability to safely operate shop equipment and tools.
