Assistant Store Manager – Technology Services
A leading national big-box retailer is seeking an experienced Assistant Store Manager – Computer Services to oversee a high-volume, technology-focused service and repair department within a 30,000+ square-foot retail environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations and safety of the technology service department
- Ensure service policies and procedures are properly executed at the store level
- Drive customer satisfaction, sales, productivity, payroll, and expense performance
- Manage departmental P&L, budgets, and operational controls
- Lead resolution of customer and technical service issues in alignment with company standards
- Supervise and coach associates to deliver solution-based technical support
- Ensure technicians maintain required certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Apple-related credentials)
- Participate in opening/closing procedures, freight flow, inventory control, and asset tracking
- Serve as Manager-on-Duty in the absence of the General Manager
- Execute merchandising, ad sets, and visual presentation standards
- Lead hiring, training, scheduling, and ongoing development of department associates
- Partner with HR and senior leadership to address employee relations and compliance matters
- Analyze competition and execute corporate initiatives
Qualifications
- College degree preferred
- 2+ years of leadership experience in a high-volume big-box retail environment (30,000+ sq. ft.)
- Experience managing sales, merchandising, operations, freight, and technical customer service
- Background in consumer electronics or technology service strongly preferred
- Direct accountability for achieving P&L and customer satisfaction goals
- Experience recruiting, coaching, and retaining high-performing teams
- Ability to work varied shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods
