Build the Talent Strategy. Develop the Leaders. Shape the Future.

Our client is seeking an accomplished Talent Director to build and lead an integrated talent strategy across its North American organization.

This is an opportunity for a highly analytical, intellectually curious HR leader who understands the business and can translate organizational needs into practical talent solutions. You’ll have broad responsibility across talent acquisition, learning and development, performance management, leadership development, succession planning, and early-career talent.

This is a highly visible role for a strategic, hands-on leader who enjoys building programs and processes, not simply maintaining them.

What You’ll Lead

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive North American talent strategy and annual roadmap.
  • Provide strategic leadership for talent acquisition, including recruiting strategy, processes, workforce planning, candidate experience, and metrics.
  • Build scalable learning and development programs for employees, managers, and leaders.
  • Design and lead a consistent performance-management and annual review process, including manager training, tools, communications, and governance.
  • Develop leadership-development programs across multiple levels of the organization.
  • Establish succession planning and talent-review processes to identify high-potential talent, assess bench strength, and strengthen the leadership pipeline.
  • Design and lead a structured internship and early-career talent program.
  • Partner with senior leaders and HR Business Partners to translate business priorities into effective talent strategies.
  • Establish meaningful talent metrics and use data to evaluate effectiveness and guide decisions.

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate combines intellectual horsepower, business acumen, and practical execution. You can quickly understand complex challenges, develop thoughtful solutions, influence senior leaders, and personally drive initiatives from concept through implementation.

Key qualifications include:

  • 10+ years of progressive Human Resources and/or Talent Management experience
  • 5+ years of HR Business Partner experience, ideally supporting business or operational leadership
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Development, or a related field
  • Demonstrated experience in talent acquisition and recruiting
  • Strong experience with learning and development and leadership development
  • Demonstrated success designing and implementing performance-management and performance-review processes
  • Experience building succession-planning and talent-review programs
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, project-management, and communication skills
  • Ability to influence and partner effectively with senior leadership

Experience building or transforming a talent function within a geographically dispersed, multi-site, technical, industrial, engineering, or professional-services organization is highly valued. An advanced degree is a plus.

Who Will Thrive Here

You’re a builder who can move comfortably between strategy and execution. You’re intellectually curious, analytical, pragmatic, and comfortable challenging assumptions. You know how to create structure without unnecessary bureaucracy and understand how talent decisions ultimately affect business performance.

If you’ve built expertise across recruiting, development, performance, and succession—and you’re ready to bring those disciplines together into an integrated talent strategy—this is an opportunity to make a significant and lasting impact.

Compensation: Up to $160,000 annually, based on qualifications and experience.

This search is being conducted confidentially by RCI on behalf of its client. Additional information about the organization will be shared with qualified candidates during the recruitment process.
