Director of Nursing (Resident Services Director)
Position Summary
The Director of Nursing (Resident Services Director) oversees all nursing and resident care services within the community. This role ensures high-quality, compliant, and compassionate care while leading the Resident Services team and supporting residents in maintaining the highest level of independence possible.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide and oversee nursing services, wellness support, and medication management
- Lead resident assessments, service plan development, move-ins, and ongoing care coordination
- Supervise, train, and support Resident Care Services staff
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local assisted living/memory care regulations
- Manage staffing schedules, delegation, documentation, infection control, and quality assurance
- Serve as on-call support for resident care needs as required
- Manage department labor hours and meet monthly budget targets
Qualifications
- Active RN or LPN license in good standing
- Experience working with seniors in assisted living, memory care, or healthcare settings
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs and perform physical job duties
- Availability for weekends, holidays, on-call, and extended hours as needed
