Position: Memory Care Director
Status: west Yarmouth, MA
Overview
A senior living community is seeking a Memory Care Director to lead a specialized dementia care program. This role is responsible for overseeing staff, resident care, programming, and family engagement while ensuring a safe, compliant, and person-centered environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily operations of the memory care program, including staffing, scheduling, and performance management
- Develop and oversee individualized resident care plans in collaboration with clinical leadership
- Train, coach, and support staff on dementia care best practices
- Maintain compliance with state regulations and company standards
- Partner with families to provide ongoing communication and support
- Ensure a safe, engaging, and structured environment for residents
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in memory care or dementia-focused senior living
- Prior supervisory or leadership experience required
- Strong knowledge of Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
Requirements
- Ability to meet physical demands of the role, including assisting residents as needed
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays
- Background check and drug screening required
