Master Data Specialist

A growing global organization is seeking a Master Data Specialist to play a critical role in improving enterprise data quality, governance, reporting, and analytics capabilities. This position will support major business integration initiatives and future ERP transformation efforts by ensuring master data is accurate, standardized, and aligned across multiple business functions.

Key Responsibilities
- Create, maintain, validate, and manage customer, vendor, supplier, product, and organizational master data records.
- Perform data quality reviews and resolve issues involving duplicate records, missing information, inconsistent naming conventions, and invalid data mappings.
- Support data cleanup, standardization, governance, and migration activities related to system implementations and business integrations.
- Monitor master data quality metrics and recommend process improvements to enhance accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with finance, procurement, supply chain, operations, compliance, and IT teams to ensure data integrity across the organization.
- Investigate and resolve data issues impacting purchasing, invoicing, reporting, supplier management, and financial controls.
- Develop dashboards, reports, and business insights using Power BI and related analytics tools.
- Support ERP, finance transformation, and process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Supply Chain, Procurement, or a related field; equivalent experience considered.
- Experience in master data management, business analysis, finance operations, procurement operations, reporting, or data analytics.
- Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, Workday, Coupa, Ariba, or similar platforms.
- Strong Power BI experience including dashboard development, data modeling, Power Query, and DAX.
- Knowledge of financial concepts including GL accounts, cost centers, budgets, forecasts, payables, accruals, and variance analysis.
- Experience supporting vendor master data, supplier lifecycle management, accounts payable data, or procurement data.
- Working knowledge of SQL for data validation and analysis.
- Experience with data governance, data quality tools, workflow platforms, or MDM solutions is preferred.
- Exposure to automation tools such as Python, Alteryx, or Power Automate is a plus.
