What We’re Looking For:

We’re seeking individuals with integrity, resilience, and a commitment to service. To join our team, you’ll need:

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED.
  • License: A valid TX driver’s license with a safe driving record.
  • Age: Must be at least 18 years old on or before your date of hire.
  • U.S. Citizenship: Required for eligibility.
  • Preferred Certification: TCLEOSE Jailer Certification (not on probationary status).
  • Physical Fitness: Ability to meet physical demands, including safely lifting up to 20 lbs and responding to emergency situations.
  • Screenings: Must pass a background check, drug screening, psychological assessment, and physical exam.

-      Exceptional ability to remain professional in hostile environments.

-      Strong interpersonal skills to work with staff, inmates, and the public.

-      Ability to make sound decisions under pressure.


Your Role in Our Team:

  • Supervise inmates to maintain safety and security.
  • Conduct regular checks for rule infractions and unauthorized activities.
  • Process inmates through intake, ensuring proper documentation.
  • Perform searches for weapons and contraband.
  • Observe inmate behavior and respond to emergency situations with appropriate action.
  • Supervise inmate activities, including meal distribution and work crews.
