What We’re Looking For:
We’re seeking individuals with integrity, resilience, and a commitment to service. To join our team, you’ll need:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED.
- License: A valid TX driver’s license with a safe driving record.
- Age: Must be at least 18 years old on or before your date of hire.
- U.S. Citizenship: Required for eligibility.
- Preferred Certification: TCLEOSE Jailer Certification (not on probationary status).
- Physical Fitness: Ability to meet physical demands, including safely lifting up to 20 lbs and responding to emergency situations.
- Screenings: Must pass a background check, drug screening, psychological assessment, and physical exam.

- Strong interpersonal skills to work with staff, inmates, and the public.
- Ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
Your Role in Our Team:
- Supervise inmates to maintain safety and security.
- Conduct regular checks for rule infractions and unauthorized activities.
- Process inmates through intake, ensuring proper documentation.
- Perform searches for weapons and contraband.
- Observe inmate behavior and respond to emergency situations with appropriate action.
- Supervise inmate activities, including meal distribution and work crews.
